DOWN BY THE RIVER

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND OUR FALL SEASONAL MENU

This season’s Fall Menu was inspired by a recent trip taken along the Allagash River in some of Maine’s most remote and beautiful wilderness regions. A tale of loading up and floating down. Hearty meals, good friends, great times. A reminder of all the things we’re surrounded by in this place we call home.

Our guides from Allagash Canoe Trips made each moment amazing and awesome!

The best days ended around the fire after a communal dinner under the stars.

Stories were shared and laughter filled the air.

One of this season’s featured pizzas is called the Wanigan - a beef brisket chili base pie topped with cheddar cheese, our three-cheese blend and crispy, baked tater tots, scallions and a sour cream swirl. A wanigan is a traditional piece of gear that serves as a mini camp kitchen to store cookware, food and goods on a canoe trip.

Good food brings people together. Always. We hope you get the chance to gather around with friends and family to enjoy some of this season’s samplings and share some tales of your own adventures.

We’ll see you on the river.
